Tora's fieldwork experience has spanned most archaeological periods, and includes work in Scandinavia and Italy. With the Milton Keynes Archaeology Unit she was involved in the excavation of several major sites of Iron Age, Roman and medieval date, and later contributed to the finds reports for Bancroft Roman villa and Wavendon Gate Iron Age and Roman settlements. Tora was also Sites and Monuments Assistant at Milton Keynes. Tora joined NA in 1991 to analyse and report on the major Saxon and medieval finds assemblage from the deserted medieval hamlet of West Cotton, Raunds. This was followed by work on other substantial assemblages from Woolmonger Street, Northampton; Kirby Hall gardens, the Privy Garden at Hampton Court and Tempsford Manor, Bedfordshire, and many other smaller assemblages. She reports on most finds types from the Iron Age to the post-medieval period. She also has responsibility for finds processing and the consolidation of archives.
